Moors Walking

The Green is located in the beautiful North Yorkshire village of Hutton-le-Hole just inside the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. If you plan to do a lot of walking or cycling on your holiday then there is no better place to explore than North Yorkshire including the Coastal routes and the Moors.

Your first port of call for information on local routes is the National Park's own website by clicking here and follow the links to Walking, Cycling and Riding. Here you can find information on short walks and guided walks as well as the more challenging walks including the North Sea Trail from Saltburn to Filey and the Cleveland Way starting at Helmsley and finishing 109 miles away in Filey.

You will also find the links to the moors own bus service "Moorsbus" as well as other public transport services. Dalby Forest also offers walks and bike rides of varying complexity: click here to see.

Another good source of information is Walking Englishman - click on North Yorkshire for walks of different complexity. I have to mention the Circuit of Rosedale walk as it takes in my sister's tea garden, Farmhouse Fodder, "arguably the best tea shop in the North York Moors" according to the walking englishman.

The Green offers 3 flats as detailed on the home page. You can use the flat as your base for exploring the region and can be sure of a hot shower and comfortable bed when you get home
